Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed building located on Church Lane in Northampton. It dates back to the 14th century, possibly incorporating elements from an 11th-century structure. The church underwent extensive restoration in 1854 by architect E. F. Law. The North Longueville chapel was rebuilt in 1849 by Lewis Loyd of Overstone, and a tower was added by Law.
The chancel features a 15th-century arch, while the north wall includes a monument from 1760. Most of the windows are from the 19th century, except for an early 14th-century window in the southwest chancel. There is an ogee arched aumbry, and the font, dating from the 11th century, has an inscription naming the sculptor Wigberthus.
All Saints Church and The Old Rectory are recognized as a group.
