Description
The Priory is an embattled medieval manor house, largely rebuilt in 1880, with early remains incorporated from the 14th and 16th centuries. It features coursed rubble and a Welsh slated roof behind a parapet. The building has two storeys, and the south front includes a blocked 14th-century window and a 16th-century stone mullioned four-light lattice casement window set in a chamfered surround. There are two stone chimney stacks with diagonally set shafts. A west pentice bay connects straight to the main block, while the east side displays a reset 14th-century panel featuring a shield in a quatrefoil. A modern north wing has been added. The manor was in the possession of the Longueville family from the early 14th century until 1688.
