Description
The Church of Saint Luke is a Grade I listed building with origins dating back to the late 12th century. It features a south doorway and part of the south arcade from this period, along with a west wall that dates to the 12th century and includes 13th-century windows. The crossing tower is from the 12th and 13th centuries, while the aisles and clerestory were added in the 13th century. The chancel was constructed in the 14th century. The church underwent restoration around 1884, and the south porch was built between 1878 and 1879. Inside, there is a carved wall monument by John Hunt from 1706 and a Norman font. The Church of Saint Luke is part of a group that includes The Old Vicarage and Nos 5 to 11 (odd) Main Road.
