Description

Manor Farmhouse is a late 18th-century brick farmhouse located in Dodford, originally listed as Manor House. The building is constructed of red brick with flared headers and has an old plain-tile roof, brick end stacks. It follows a central staircase plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a five-window front. The main entrance features a central six-panel door with an overlight, approached by three moulded stone steps and covered by a gabled 19th-century hood supported by brackets. The windows are 12-pane sashes, featuring stone sills and gauged brick lintels with stone keyblocks. Other external details include a plinth, brick dentilled cornice, three hipped dormers, and stone coped gables with kneelers. A lower, two-storey, one-window wing is attached to the right, characterized by nogged brick eaves. A two-storey kitchen wing is set to the rear, constructed of brick and partly stone. Inside, there is an open-well staircase with a dado, slender turned balusters, and a ramped handrail.
