Description

Southfield Farmhouse is an 18th-century house located on Polewell Lane in Barton Seagrave. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with dressed quoins. The farmhouse features a steeply pitched new tile roof with stone coping at the gable ends and stone coved eaves. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two sash windows that include glazing bars and stone heads. There is a blocked central door and two hipped dormers. The ends of the house have brick stacks, one of which has a stone cornice while the other is heightened. At the rear, there is 18th-century stone coping that forms an L-plan.
