Description
No. 28 is a cottage, likely once two separate homes, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, with 20th-century brick ridge and end stacks. The building has one storey and an attic.
On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a board door, a small brick-dressed iron-framed casement window that may be in a blocked doorway, a three-light small-paned casement window, a four-pane fixed light, and a 20th-century door. The windows have wooden lintels. In the attic, there are two three-light small-paned eyebrow dormers. To the left of the main structure, there is a pantiled addition that appears to be a kennel, featuring a brick-dressed round-headed entrance arch. The interior has not been inspected.
