Description
The Shuckburgh Arms Public House is a public house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. Originally designed with a two-unit plan, the building stands two storeys high and has a two-window range of 19th-century casements beneath wooden lintels. To the left of the centre, there is a four-panel door framed by a moulded wood doorcase. The building has ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks at both ends. There is a three-window range to the left, which is likely a later addition, featuring a lower eaves level and ashlar stacks at the ridge and end. At the rear, there are two lean-to buildings attached. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressumer.
