Description

The buildings at 54 and 56 Whielden Street date to the 18th century and are constructed of red brick with an old tile roof and three brick stacks. A dentilled brick cornice runs along the top. The two-storey buildings feature four three-light casement windows on the first floor, each with a wooden lintel. Number 54 has a central door with a modern hood and modern bow windows on either side. Number 56 has an old canted bay window on the left-hand side, a four-panel door with a bracketed hood in the centre, and a three-light casement window with a segmental arch on the right. These buildings are noted for their group value.
