Description
69, 71, and 73 The Broadway are three buildings dating from the 17th century or earlier, which have been altered and refronted. They feature a stucco and pebbledash exterior that may be hiding a timber-framed main structure. The buildings have old tiled roofs with a central gable. Number 69 is a single storey with an attic and has a casement box dormer. Numbers 71 and 73 are two storeys high, with a 19th-century two-light sash window on the right and a 18th-century canted oriel bay window on the left, both featuring sashes. The ground floor of these two buildings has 19th-century and modern shop windows, with fascia cornices, except for number 69. There is a weatherboarded and gabled back wing to number 71. Numbers 69 to 75 (odd) form a group.
