Description

This is an 18th-century house of considerable size, notable for its tall, narrow proportions and closely spaced large windows. The building is three storeys high, featuring stone string courses, a cornice, and parapet coping. The windows are sash windows set in reveals, each with a flat arch above. The main entrance is located to the right of centre, and is distinguished by a traceried fanlight within an arched surround of reeded pilasters. These pilasters support an open pediment. A gabled wing at the rear of the house dates to an earlier period and incorporates a tall 19th-century bay window. The house was formerly known as The Limes.
