Description

Burford Farm House is a house that features a 17th-century wing on the southwest side, which has been altered and refronted in the early 19th century. There are mid-19th century extensions at the northern end, creating an L-shaped plan. The southeast front is constructed of brick, while the northeast front is made of flint with brick dressings. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a chimney made of thin brick located near the right end of the 17th-century wing.

The 17th-century section has one storey and an attic, with a three-bay window arrangement. The ground floor has an irregular layout, featuring a four-light barred wooden casement window to the left and a three-light cast iron casement window in the centre. There are three tall gabled dormers along the eaves, each with paired barred wooden casements. A half-glazed door is situated to the right, sheltered by a small 20th-century lean-to porch.

At the rear of the left bay, there is a small timber-framed extension. To the right, a taller 19th-century bay rises to two storeys, with offset eaves and three-pane sash windows. The left gable of this bay displays a timber truss, while the right gable features brick cogging, sash windows, and a vent slit leading to the attic. Additionally, there is a two-storey rear wing that has cogged eaves and one bay of sash windows.
