Description
Fennels Lodge is a former house, now used as offices, built around 1830. The building is constructed of red brick with a rendered plinth and features dentil eaves. It has a hipped 20th-century tile roof and brick chimneys. The structure is double-piled, with two storeys and a basement, and consists of three bays. The outer bays have 4-pane sash windows with gauged heads, while the central first-floor window has a semi-circular arched head. The central entrance door includes marginal glazing, a semi-circular fanlight, and a moulded wooden entablature hood supported by slender fluted metal shafts. Access to the door is via a double flight of stone steps arranged in a semi-circular plan, which are complemented by wrought iron railings. There is a small basement window to the left of the entrance. Each side of the building features a single-storey semi-circular projection with a flat roof, bracketted eaves, and sash windows.
