Description
The Waiting Shelters and Ticket Office at Denham Golf Club were built around 1912 and designed by the Great Western Railway. They are made of corrugated iron and feature hipped 'pagoda' roofs that are tented. The structures have a rectangular plan and are single storey. The waiting shelters are of a standard design, each with a central square-headed opening. The ticket office is a non-standard variation, distinguished by a projecting canopy at the entrance and a window to the right. 'Pagoda' shelters were first introduced by the Great Western Railway around 1904 for use at country halts and platforms, and this group represents a rare survival of what was once a common type.
