Description

Corner Cottage and The Mount are a 17th century house and an 18th century cottage located on Main Street in Turweston. Both buildings are constructed of rubble stone and feature slate roofs. The Mount has brick end stacks and a stack of thin bricks between the right-hand bays. It is two storeys high with three bays of modern paired casements, including a three-light window in the upper right-hand bay. The entrance is to the right of the central stack and is accessed through a modern timber gabled porch. There is also a modern single-storey extension at the rear. Corner Cottage is a single-storey structure with one dormer, featuring two irregular casements that flank a modern board door. The cottage is included for its group value with The Mount.
