Description
Ridgewell House is an early 19th century front added to an earlier house located in Little Missenden Village. The building features a pebbledash exterior and an old tile roof with a moulded eaves cornice. It has two segmental bows, each with three-light wood mullion single hung sashes. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with four of the panels now replaced by glass, and is sheltered by a wood trellis porch. Above the porch, there is a window with a moulded wood frame. The house also has early 18th century flanking chimneys and the rear half of its gables. To the right, there is a one-bay, two-storey section with dentil eaves and casement windows, which is well set back from the main facade. Additionally, there is a brick and flint stable coachhouse with a gabled upper window.
