Description
The Aviary at Dropmore is an early 19th-century structure that features a symmetrical design in both plan and elevation. It has a cast-iron cage and is adorned with ceramic green tiles around the base, as uprights, and as a frieze, all imported from China. The aviary is built against a wall and has three projections topped with cupolas, with the central cupola being taller than the two outer ones. Inside the cages, there are four fountains with shells set in basins.
