Description

Dog's Tomb in Dropmore is a 19th-century structure that contains the remains of Lord Grenville's dog, Tippo. This dog was the sole survivor of a shipwreck and was brought to Dropmore after being found wandering on a beach. The tomb features a carved stone sarcophagus adorned with garlands and rams' heads at the corners. It also has pediments and acroteria at the corners, along with a long Latin inscription, which is now illegible.
