Description
Threshers Barn, located at No. 2 Turners Meadow, is an 18th-century barn constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarded exterior on a brick plinth, with part of the west wall made of brick. The barn features an old tiled roof that is quarter hipped at the eastern end and consists of six bays. There are cart doors in the third bay from the west, along with irregular doors and loft openings. Inside, the barn has curved braces supporting the tiebeams and wallplates, with four trusses that include tall curved inner principals supporting the lower purlins and collars beneath the upper purlins. The western truss has a collar positioned below the lower purlins and includes raking queenposts. The interior also showcases curved windbraces, old rafters, and wall framing.
