Description

The Porches is a 17th-century building located on High Street in Taplow. It features a timber-framed structure with colour-washed brick nogging and a machine tile roof. The right side of the building has a two-storey porch that oversails on carved brackets, topped with a gabled roof and bargeboards. The first floor includes a three-light casement window, while the ground floor is open with balusters on the sides and front. The left side has a one-storey gabled, rustic porch. The first floor on this side has one two-light and two three-light casement windows, which are gabled and rise into the roof. The ground floor features one two-light casement and two four-light casements, complete with mullions, transoms, and arched heads. Most of the windows are adorned with diamond leaded lights.
