Description
The Old Rectory is a building from the 18th and 19th centuries located on Rectory Road in Taplow. The garden elevation features a right-hand section that dates back to the 18th century, constructed of red-blue brick with a machine tile roof. The building has two storeys, with the first floor displaying two almost square sash windows. The ground floor has two sash windows, each with cambered relieving arches. The central section has been restored and altered in the 19th century, also made of red-blue brick and topped with a slate roof. To the left, there is a bay window extending through both storeys, and a string course at the first floor level. On the right side, there are two sash windows on the first floor and a large bay window on the ground floor. The left-hand section, which is set back and dates from the 19th century, is similarly built of red-blue brick with a slate roof and has two storeys, featuring three sash windows on the first floor and a string course at the same level. The facade facing the road is notably irregular.
