Description
The sundial located to the south of Missenden Abbey dates back to 1814. It features an octagonal stone column resting on a stone base, which has a moulded plinth. Below the moulded cap, there is cusped gothic ornamentation. The cap supports the dial, which is inscribed with the date, the name, and the arms of John Ayton.
