Description

The Garth is an 18th-century detached house situated on Mill Road, facing the River Thames. It is constructed of red brick and is two stories high, with three windows visible from the front. A decorative band runs across the building at first-floor level. The windows have glazing bars, and the ground floor windows are casement style. The central entrance features a panelled door, partially glazed, topped with a scallop shell hood supported by large console brackets. A paired, bracketed eaves cornice adds detail. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. A small, single-window extension on the left (west) side is a more recent addition.
