Description
Gate Cottage and Elm Cottage are two buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are constructed of brick with exposed timber framing on the west gable. The south front features four casements arranged in a pattern of 2:3:2:2. The ground floor openings have segmental arches, except for the right-hand door, which has a flat wooden hood. The three-light casements are narrower than their arches. The cottages have an old tile roof that is hipped at the east end and half-hipped at the west. There is a lean-to at the east end and two old brick stacks.
