Description

22 and 24 Red Lion Street are early to mid 19th century buildings with a separate earlier back wing. They are finished in stucco and have a hipped Welsh slated roof with an eaves cornice. The buildings are two storeys high and feature three flush sash windows with glazing bars, stucco lintels, and keyblocks. On the right side, there is a two-storey canted bay with a shop window on the ground floor and a sash window on the first floor. The left side has a 19th century and modern shop front with consoles supporting the cornice. A central wide arch is supported by reeded Doric pilasters. Nos 22 and 24 are part of a group with Nos 1 to 3, forming a cohesive architectural ensemble.
