Description
Two Swans is a terrace of 18th-century cottages located on Quoiting Square. The building is two storeys high and constructed of colourwashed brick, featuring a string course at the first-floor level. Each cottage has two windows. Number 4 now includes the former Number 2, although part of this cottage has been converted to open onto West Street as Queen Cottage. The old door to Number 2 is now blocked, but its hood remains as part of the new tiled roof of Number 4. The windows consist of three-light casements, with one small window replacing the old door and an additional small window to the left on the first floor.
Number 6 has shutters, with sash windows on the ground floor and casements on the first floor, along with a band. The doorway, located to the right of centre, features a modern door. Number 8 underwent alterations in the 19th century, resulting in a raised roof now covered with tiles. This cottage has a shop front, and the first floor includes glazing bars and shutters.
