Description
Nos 20, 22, and 24 Aylesbury End is a building that dates back to the 17th century but was refronted in the 18th century and has undergone significant alterations since then. It was formerly an inn. The structure is timber-framed and has cement rendered brick, topped with an old tile roof that is hipped on the left side and features a panelled parapet.
The building has two storeys and includes a stringcourse at the first-floor level.
For No 20, the first floor has three sashes that are set flush and all feature glazing bars. The ground floor includes two modern shop windows and a door with a tiled hood.
No 22 has a first floor with one two-light casement window that has a cambered relieving arch above it. The ground floor features one sash window with a cambered relieving arch and a door with a tiled hood.
No 24 has a first floor with one two-light casement and one blank window, both of which have cambered relieving arches. The ground floor is characterized by a 19th-century shop front with a recessed door.
