Description
The stables west of Over Hall were built in 1690 and have been altered since. They are constructed from sandstone rubble and feature a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys.
The right-hand section of the facade consists of three bays with cyma-moulded windows. The ground floor windows only retain their surrounds, while the first-floor windows have round heads. In the middle bay, there is a doorway with long-and-short jambs and a plain lintel, above which is a re-set lintel inscribed with the year '1690'.
The left-hand section of the facade has three doors with plain reveals, except for the right-hand door, which features a worn cyma moulding. Next to the left-hand door is a window with plain reveals. On the first floor, there is a pitching door with plain reveals, and to its left, there is a blocked one-light chamfered window. Inside, the roof trusses appear to have tie beams and raking queen struts.
