Description
Bargh House is a farmhouse dated 1658, with likely 19th-century additions including a porch, extension, and reroofing. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a two-storey, two-bay extension on the right. The corners are marked by quoins. The original section has an entrance beneath a porch on the right, framed by a chamfered quoined surround, and a large lintel with raised lettering that reads "S. 1658 F". There are recessed chamfered mullion windows with dripmoulds throughout, consisting of four and three lights on the ground floor and two three-light windows on the first floor. The added section includes a board door on the right with a slight lintel, along with similar three-light windows throughout. Stone gutter brackets are present, and there are end stacks on the original range and at the center of the added range. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
