Description
The Boar is a house dated 1667, constructed of roughcast rubble with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features two first-floor windows. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed four-panel door. On the ground floor to the left, there is a blocked fire-window and a three-light window; to the right, there is a two-light window set within a double-chamfered three-light mullion window. On the first floor, to the left, there is a recessed panel inscribed with "NUNC MEA MOX HVIVS SED POSTEA NESCIO CVIVS H 1667," which translates to "now it is mine, formerly it was theirs, but afterwards I know not to whom it will belong." There is also a three-light window, part of a blocked mullion window, and a four-pane sash window. The building has end stacks and is said to have been used as a pub, known as The Boar Inn.
