Description
Thompson's Hospital is a block of almshouses founded by Thomas Thompson in 1618. It was restored in the 19th century and again in 1980. The building has two storeys and features seven windows, with the southernmost window bay projecting. It has seven gables that have renewed scalloped bargeboards. The structure is made of stone rubble with red brick dressings and quoins, topped with a tiled roof. The windows are casement style with dripstones above, and there are four-centred red brick doorways.
