Description
The Parish Church of Saint Mary the Virgin is a small building that includes a chancel, a north transept, a nave featuring a small tile-hung bell-turret at the west end, and a south porch. The nave dates back to the Norman period, with some Saxon work visible in the north wall, while the timbered roof is from the 15th century. The chancel is from around 1300, and the south porch is likely from the 15th century as well. The north transept was added in 1892 to house two monuments dedicated to the Selwyn family of Friston Place.
