Description
This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 20 metres to the west of King's House in West Sussex, Tillington, Chichester. The barn consists of two bays and features a 20th-century extension at the rear, which is not of special interest. It is constructed with weatherboarding on a stone plinth and has a hipped tiled roof. Some of the weatherboarding consists of large planks, likely reused floorboards. The front of the barn, which faces the house, has a plank door set on pintle hinges. Inside, there are thick corner posts with diagonal tension braces, pegged rafters without a ridgepiece, and a central tie beam. The barn is included for its group value.
