Description
The Stonemasons Inn is a public house located on North Street in Petworth. Originally listed as The Mason's Arms Inn, this building dates back to the 17th century or earlier and was originally two cottages at its north end, known as Nos 291 and 292 Leconfield Estate, which have since been incorporated into the public house. The structure features a timber-framed design, refaced with roughcast or painted brick, except for the north end of the first floor where the timbering is exposed with curved braces and painted brick infilling. The building has a tiled roof and two storeys, with five casement windows.
