Description

These are a pair of estate cottages built in 1847 for the Duke of Norfolk. They are marked with the date and the duke’s initial "N" and a ducal coronet. The cottages are two storeys high with two windows each. The facades are flint faced, with red brick window surrounds and quoins. The roofs are slate, featuring two half-hipped gables to the north front and a pointed gable on the east and west fronts. The windows are casement style with latticed panes. There are two stone bays on the ground floor, and small gabled stone porches are located on the east and west fronts.
