Description
This group of farm buildings, located 60 metres south of Upper Bordean House, dates from the mid 19th century. The walls are constructed of coarse flintwork, featuring a brick plinth, saw-tooth patterned quoins, angular cambered arches, and decorative bands. The roof is tiled, with both gabled and hipped sections.
The main stable block is wide and three storeys high, with gables at both the north-west and south-east ends, each having a central window on every level. There is a single-storeyed wing that extends south-west from the west corner, which includes one blocked door and three windows. The angle between the main block and the wing is filled with a covered yard, although it currently lacks tiles.
At the south-west end, across a roadway, there is a rectangular cartshed that has a similar form to the three external sides and is open to the inner elevation. The north-east elevation of the main block features several doors and windows arranged in an irregular pattern.
