Description
Cricket Lodge, located at Petworth House, is an early 19th-century lodge. It features a central section that is two storeys high with one window, and it has a string course. The gable above the central section mimics a pediment. On either side, there are flanking wings that are one storey high, each with one window. The outer edges of the building have a blocking course topped with ball caps. The entire structure is made of coursed stone and has a hipped slate roof with intact glazing bars. To the east of the lodge, there is a gateway into the park, which is flanked by square stone gate-piers. The 18th-century stone wall of the park extends on both sides of the lodge to the east and west.
