Description
1 and 2 South Lodge are two small buildings located at Westhampnett, Goodwood Park, likely built by James Wyatt around 1800. Each building is one storey high with one window and is faced with squared knapped flints. Stone pilasters flank each lodge, topped with a stone cornice and pediment. The window surrounds are made of stone, and the glazing bars are intact. On the outer side of each lodge, there is a wall containing one window that ramps up to form a pilaster on the outer edge, which also features a cornice and ball cap above. This wall extends at right angles to the north, leading to a similar pilaster and cap. In front of the lodges, there are two flint gate piers with ball caps that flank modern iron gates.
