House. The origin of the name of this house is traditionally associated with a son of Henry I and a Welsh princess, but the house was built by Francis Dawtrey in 1623 and has this date on it. Two storeys. Four windows. Stone rubble with red brick dressings and quoins. Tiled roof. At the north end of the front are two gables with ball finials. The northern one has a cartouche of the Dawtrey family (a prominent Petworth family) on it and a ball finial at the outer angle of the gable as well as at the apex. The other gable contains a blocked attic window. One original casement window with stone mullion. The other windows are sash windows with glazing bars intact. Stone doorway with depressed pointed head. C19 parallel wing added behind.
