Description
Trevor Gardens consists of two similar but detached blocks of cottages that are positioned at right angles to each other. They were built in 1867 by Henry Brand, who was the Speaker of the House of Commons and later became Viscount Hampden of Glynde Place. The cottages are two storeys high, with one window for each cottage. They are faced with flints and feature red brick dressings, including quoins made of red brick and grey headers. The roofs are tiled. Each cottage has casement windows with brick dripstones above them. The cottages are arranged in pairs, with two gables for each pair. There is a recessed section between the pairs that contains two doorways, each with brick dripstones, and a recessed section at each end that has one such doorway.
