Description
Cobdens Farriers is a building of mixed origins, dating to the 17th and 19th centuries, originally used as a workhouse. The original section, Farriers, is a 17th-century timber-framed building with diagonal braces and infilling of painted brick and plaster. It has a tiled roof and casement windows, arranged over two storeys with three windows. Adjoining this is an early 19th-century addition, Cobdens, which features a ground floor of painted brick and an upper section clad in tile-hanging, with a tiled roof and casement windows arranged over two storeys with two windows.
