Description

The Parish Church of St George is a Grade I listed building located on Petersfield Road in Trottton with Chithurst. It dates back to the early 14th century, featuring a chancel and nave that are not divided, a south porch, and a west tower topped with a broached shingled spire. The church has an unusual timbered roof characterized by tie-beams and arched braces. Inside, there are 14th-century wall paintings on the west wall, as well as two notable brasses from the 14th and 15th centuries. The south porch was added in the 17th century.
