Description
Lower Booths Farmhouse is a former farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble gritstone with quoins and features a coped southwest gable with moulded kneelers and gable ridge stacks, the one at the northeast end being made of ashlar with a moulded cap. The roofs are stone slated. The building has a 'T' plan with an end baffle entry.
On the southeast elevation, the farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. It showcases 2-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows on the upper floor and 3-light ground floor openings, which have been altered with 20th-century casements. There is a doorway at the southwest end with a quoined surround and a 20th-century plank door featuring a rectangular light. The rear of the farmhouse includes various 1, 2, and 3-light chamfer mullioned windows.
