Description
This barn, built around 1795 for the Hackness Hall estate, is located approximately 10 metres south-east of the stable yard at Hackness Hall. It is constructed of dressed sandstone with tooled dressings and features a slate roof. The barn has a rectangular shape and is two stories high with a three-bay front set on a plinth. The full-height double plank doors are situated beneath a round arch, which is flanked by round-arched window openings. There are raised sill and impost bands, and the roof is hipped. The return fronts have an impost band from the front that continues as a sill band to two round-headed openings that provide access to the loft.
