Description
The boundary wall, gate, and gate piers located northwest of Pinchinthorpe Hall date from the mid-17th century and are constructed of dressed sandstone. The wall features gate piers topped with ball finials, which sit on heavily moulded cornices and rusticated shafts that rise from panelled pedestals adorned with plain paterae. The gate piers have pyramidal finials on heavily moulded cornices, standing on plain shafts that also rest on panelled pedestals. A late 19th-century timber gate is included in the design. The boundary wall extends southeast alongside the drive leading to Pinchinthorpe Hall, with a section that is buttressed on its northeast side. At the entrance to the drive, there are sandstone monolithic gate piers.
