Description
Waterhouse, located approximately 15 metres south west of Bransdale Mill, is a late 18th-century building. It is constructed from coursed roughly squared sandstone and features a pantile roof. The structure is rectangular in shape and is a single storey, built against a low hillside. The gable end includes a doorway with a roughly tooled lintel.
Inside, there is a stone channel that carries water, which pierces the wall against the hillside and overhangs a built-in stone trough. To the right of the trough, there is a raised stone flag. At the rear, a low square opening accommodates an overflow channel to the beck. The floor is made of stone flags and includes a drainhole.
