Description

The Black Lion Public House is an early 19th-century establishment located on the east side of High Street in Hinderwell, Staithes. It is constructed from painted coursed stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has four windows, which are fitted with sash frames that include glazing bars and projecting stone cills beneath stone lintels. On the ground floor to the left, there are fixed lights. The entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by an oblong fanlight.
