Description
The Old Manor is a house dating from the 16th century, featuring a timber-framed hall with cross wings. It has an 18th-century extension and underwent early 20th-century renovations. The front walls are constructed of brickwork in English bond, with a plinth, tile hanging on the first floor, and rendered gables on the wings. At the rear, the exposed bricknogged framing of the wings shows the original jettied form. The roof is tiled, and there is a shaped stack. The southeast front elevation has gabled wings, and there is a north side service wing that is two storeys high, with a window arrangement of 1.2.1.2. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements, and there is a plain oak door. Inside, there is a massive fireplace.
