Description
Bushby Cottage and the attached barn are a house and barn, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed from stone rubble, with the house being roughcast and featuring a slate roof. The building has a central entrance plan and is two storeys high. The east elevation consists of three bays, with a 20th-century garage added to the south and the barn located to the north. The house includes a drip course at the ground floor and cross stepped gables. It has small casement windows and a fire window in the third bay, with the entrance located in the second bay. The barn features an entrance and a pitching hole. At the rear, there is a long gabled wing and an outshut under a catslide roof, which is now part of the house, adjoining the barn. The house also has a gabled wing with a 20th-century sun lounge on the right side. The first floor is fitted with casement windows that have large diamond panes.
