Description
Sally Hill is a house that may date from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with a date of 1783 on a sundial likely indicating a period of remodelling for John and Jane Bragg. The exterior is pebble-dashed with stone details and features a graduated slate roof with outshuts at the rear, along with stone copings and kneelers, and rendered end chimneys. The house is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a part-glazed door within a 20th-century glazed porch, with casement windows in stone surrounds on either side on both floors. Above the door is a heptagonal sundial with a gnomon, set on a dated panel that includes the inscription: Aetas rapuit Diem. The plain hoodmoulds over the windows and panel are 19th-century additions, and there is an eaves cornice.
