Description
Marigold House is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from red sandstone and ironstone random rubble, with the left half rendered. The building features a curved facade and a hipped thatched roof. The plan includes an angled facade, which appears to be three cells, possibly two cells with a single bay outbuilding that has been converted into one dwelling. The cottage has 20th-century two and three-light casement windows. It stands two storeys high, with two eyebrow dormers on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two windows facing the road, one of which is located in the angled facade to the left of the entrance, which has a stable-type door. The interior has not been inspected.
